Rules, Regulations & Tips

  • This is foremost a charity bike riding event benefiting The LLS FOUNDATION and the Witches Ride is proudly a family-friendly event that is free to spectators. Please plan accordingly for your costumes and decorations!

  • The Entry Fee must be paid to participate in the Witches Ride (Click Here To Purchase A Ticket)

  • AGE POLICY: You must be 18+ and a female to register to ‘Fly” with the Witches Ride. Children are NOT allowed to join or participate in the official ride even if they are in a cart, stroller, wagon, or walking. Families are invited to spectate all along our route!

  • No Electric Scooters, No Electric Bikes, No Golf Carts

  • All registered participants must wear an official Witches Ride wristband, which will be included with their registration.

  • Weather Policy: A little rain wont stop us. A lot of rain MAY. In the case of extreme weather the rain date is Sunday October 27th.

  • Children are asked to be accompanied by an adult to safely walk on the sidewalks while the witches fly by.

  • Make sure your costumes/decorations will not get caught in bike spokes.

  • Arrive early to allow plenty of time to get in line and make any last minute adjustments to your bike.

    • There will be a costume contest for best individual witch, best coven of witches (10 witches max for groups)

    • Secure your hat under your chin with a themed ribbon to match your attire. Think of a bonnet. Flying witches sometimes have difficulties keeping their hats in place!

    • Keep your witches attire above the wheels. We don’t want any spooky attire getting caught in your broom-cart or broom-cycle!

    • Have a bag, pouch or basket easily accessible to grab and throw candy!

    • Light up your ride! It is getting darker earlier. When planning bicycle decor consider glow sticks or battery powered light strands to ensure you are visible!

BY ENTERING THIS RIDE YOU AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS: 

  • BE RESPECTFUL: Only “family-friendly” costumes will be permissible to participate in the event.

  • BE RESPONSIBLE: Safety is imperative to the success of the event. Please no alcohol before or during the bike ride. There will be plenty of time for libations after the bike ride. 

  • REPRESENT: Be a good representative of the Waynewood Witches Ride. 

  • REMEMBER: This is not a race!

  • Do not attempt passing. Please stop to help distressed witches, let’s ensure everyone makes it safely to our destination.

Registration fee is non-refundable; I understand this is a donation to the LLS Foundation

Liability Waiver:

I understand that the Witches Ride (the “Event”) is an athletic event that should only be engaged in by persons who are physically fit and in good health, as determined by a physician. I also understand that my participation entails some risks, including but not limited to injury or death, caused by my actions as well as the acts or omissions of fellow participants.

In consideration of your accepting this entry and allowing me to participate in this Event, I, the undersigned, intending to be legally bound hereby, for myself, my representatives, heirs, executors, and administrators, waive and release any and all rights and claims for damages I may have against  Witches Ride, its  organizers, its officers, directors, volunteers, agents, successors, and assigns, and any and all sponsors, and their representatives, successors, and assigns, from death or any and all injuries or damages suffered by me in said Event.

I attest and verify that I will participate in this Event as an entrant, that I am physically fit for this Event, and accept all risks associated with my participation. Further, I hereby grant full permission to Witches Ride and the organizers to use without compensation any photographs, videotapes, motion pictures, or any other recordings or other record of this Event containing my image for any purpose whatsoever.
